BIPOC Real Estate and Trades Network Meetup

****This month’s meetup presentation is open to the BIPOC community at-large. You do not have to be a real estate or trades professional to attend.****

The BIPOC Real Estate and Trades Network is a group of realtors, real estate investors, housing advocates, and trades people who come together to network, share expertise, and identify opportunities.

The network is working to build a stronger presence in Maine to become a trusted resource for others in the BIPOC community pursuing homeownership, investment opportunities, careers in the trades or seeking careers in related fields. Come build your references, find a mentor, or just get to know others.

This meetup is intended for those who identify as Black, Indigenous, or People of Color. We look forward to connecting with colleagues outside of these communities at future meetups.

What to expect at the online meetup:

- Welcome and Introductions

-Presentation and Discussion - Are you a first-time home buyer? Do you know that you can be eligible for the first-time home buyer state grant of up to $14,000? In the first-time home buyer session you will get to learn about loan applications, interest rates, credit score requirements and much more.  If you are an aspiring homebuyer, realtor, or loan officer, this step-by-step presentation will be helpful in educating yourself or your clients in their homebuying journey.

- Regular Network Meeting and Discussion following the presentation: Sharing networking needs

- Discussion: Housing needs and real estate opportunities
